A LITTLE MORE UNUSUAL
Sebastopols are a threatened heritage breed known for their long, curling feathers and their very noticeable opinions. At Buckin' Duck Ranch, we raise White, Splash, Grey, and Buff Sebastopols as part of a small flock where the birds are pets first.
They are not a quick checkout-cart purchase. A good match starts with an honest conversation about your setup, timing, and what you hope to bring home.
WHAT MAY BE AVAILABLE
Depending on the season, we may have Sebastopol goslings for local pickup or hatching eggs for customers who are prepared to incubate. We do not offer day-old babies. Young birds generally stay with us until they are eating, drinking, healthy, and stable.
Hatching eggs are filled from a wait-list as production allows. Since birds do not follow a warehouse schedule, exact dates and quantities cannot be promised in advance.
WHAT TO PLAN FOR
Sebastopols need secure shelter, protection from weather and predators, clean water, and space to move around comfortably. They are social, active birds, and their care needs grow quickly as goslings grow.
Before pickup, it helps to have housing ready, a plan for water and bedding, and enough time to settle a new flock member in calmly. Our sales policies explain the practical details for local pickup, hatching eggs, and preparing for new birds.
COLOR AND TIMING
You can tell us which colors catch your eye, whether that is White, Splash, Grey, or Buff. With young goslings, color can be difficult to identify accurately, so we will always be straightforward about what is known and what is still developing.
The earlier you reach out, the easier it is to talk through your hopes without rushing the process when the season is busy.

No. Live goslings are available for local pickup by arrangement. This gives families time to prepare and lets us talk through the setup before pickup.
Hatching eggs may be available seasonally. Egg production depends entirely on the flock, so requests are filled as eggs become available.
You are welcome to share a color preference. We raise White, Splash, Grey, and Buff Sebastopols, but color can be difficult to identify accurately when goslings are young and cannot always be guaranteed.
